The Man Behind The Music: Bobby Neon

The Man Behind The Music: Bobby Neon

Bobby Neon is an artist who is really starting to come into his own in the recent months. Australian born and internationally known, his latest EP from July has really put him on the map. He’s really turning heads with his big progressive trance atmospheres and hard rolling basslines. We’re super happy that we were able to have him answer a few questions for us that really help us get to know the man behind the music. Check out his awesome interview below!

Thank you for taking the time to answer a few questions for us! How has your summer been so far?
Well it’s winter here so pretty freezing, cannot wait for the Australian weather to heat up for our summer.

bobby-neon-epWe know you had an EP come out back in July featuring two all new original tracks, Redzone and Louder. What has been the reaction that you’ve gotten to them?
I had great feedback for my first release on Genesis Elements, better than expected so I can’t wait to get more of my projects out.

Do you have any other productions in the works that you can tell us about?
I currently have four finished new tracks with a few new vocalists. Then there’s two new ones with Nick Arbor which we are now finalizing. I’ve definitely worked hard on these.

What are some of you’re influences that have helped you develop the Bobby Neon sound?
Being diverse in listening to all genres of music definitely helps. I love all types from rock, dance, hardstyle and hardcore. I take each element I like and try to create my own unique blend and sound with it.

You’re hailing all the way from Australia. Is there anyone locally down there that has really helped you fine-tune your music?
To be honest I’ve been working away on my own thing. There aren’t too many producers here that I work with. I’m more into a lot of the international artists. I follow a lot of there sounds, there are so many talented artists out there.

Have you noticed a change in your approach to music production from when you were first starting out several years back?
Definitely! When I first started I was more into big room. I am now working that sound into trance and house as well, trying to create something that’s my sort of taste.

bobby-neon-2What’s next for you as an artist?
I have a good handful of tracks to be released with some huge remixes, and also a few new colabs up my sleeve! Look out early 2017 for some of those.

When you’re not busy in the studio, what sort of things are you into?
I am a bit of a sport and gym junkie! I play basketball three nights a week and train every day to get out of the studio and keep active. I try to balance that with my love for burgers and food, haha!

Thank you for taking the time to answer a few questions for us! Is there anything in particular you’d like to say to your fans?
2017 is looking like a big year! Thank you for your much loved support!
